Say, "YAAAARRRRRR!"

We were lucky enough to attend the FREE concert in Sellwood Park on Wednesday, August 26th. The band was Captain Bogg and Salty! They are a local kids' Pirate band. There were a ton of people, crazy kids and lots of eye patches. Jillian was super stoked when they played Nellie, the Elephant. One of her favorites!!! Owen and fam joined us in a picnic dinner and the 2 had a good time rollicking to the music.

Happy Birthday! Wednesday, August, 19th Real Grandma!

So, Jillian and I made cupcakes for my moms' 60th birthday Monday night for the dinner gathering to be held Wednesday. We chose coconut. (moms favorite) I made a cake, but used some extra batter to make 6 cupcakes, which Jillian "needed" to try to make sure they were good. Pretty sure she enjoyed it.  She came at it from all angles and had it down in about 5 minutes! Should be a good time celebrating with everyone tomorrow...

HAPPY 60th BIRTHDAY MOM/GRANDMA!!!!

a ZOE is born...

Congratulations Michelle and Alex. Zoe was 9 days over due and was born into the world today around 12:30 p.m. She weighed in at a whopping 8 pounds 10 ounces! Holy Baby head, Batman!
Jillian was thrilled when she saw the pic on my phone, she grew quite fond of Michelle on her visit not too long ago. Now we need to figure out a way to go to New York to see them all!!!
Again, Congratulations on Zoe Novia Pallak Movahed. Eventually she'll grow into her name, just you wait.

Gracie's 4th birthday in the park

Jillian was invited to a classmates birthday on Sunday. The kids got to decorate their own cupcakes, dance to music on a stage and play with bubbles. There was a huge play structure also. It was by the river in Lake Oswego, and you'd think we'd get a nice breeze off the water, but NO. It was HOT. Fun was had by all and I even got up on the stage and danced the Hokey Pokey with the girls. What if that's what its all about?  Really.
