the Patch 09, II

I'm hoping none of these are repeats of the ones I just posted, but here are the rest of the pics from our fabulous day of family fun!

The Patch 09

We picked up Jillian this morning from her sleep over at Owens' house last night and headed out to Sauvie Island to go to the Pumpkin Patch. There was so much to do; we visited the animals in the barn, rode the cow train, went on a hayride out to the patch, sat on a tractor, bought some small decorative gourds and ate Kettle corn. We also climbed to the top of a hay pyramid several times and just had the best time as a family. The weather was perfect, in the high 70's. It brought back memories of my 1/2 marathon I did and will probably do again on the 4th of July! This was more fun, though!!!

Mom, Jillian and I all did Race for the Cure 1 mile walk this year. Jillian said she wanted to do a walk because of all my 1/2 marathons. The first pic is of us waiting for the race to start. Jillian is saying,"Cheese!" She made it the first 1/2 of the race, but wanted to be carried the second 1/2 because there were soooo many people there. The second pic is of us heading over the Hawthorne Bridge to the car and off to Sanborns! We'll see about next year...

Dora the Explorer

Jillian and I got to hang out this afternoon and after her fever was all gone, I drove us to the Barber Shop down the street to get her hair trimmed.
When she sat down in the chair, she told the lady, "Like Dora!" I'm guessing it has something to do with her Halloween Costume... She is adorable!!!! She is also feeling MUCH better.

Celebration Time!

I got a call today from the President of the company that laid me off back in July. He said that business had picked up to the point that they couldn't handle it and wanted me back ASAP. I told him the soonest I could make it back full time would be Monday, but I cold probably put in some late afternoon early evening hours if they needed. So, I told City Graphics that my last day would be Friday.

BEACH DAY!

So, back on August 23rd we took a drive and had a beach day. It was probably one of the best beach days ever. I got to surf, we built sand castles, and Jillian climbed to the big dune at Pacific City, 5 times!

Time Flies!

Okay, I know we have a lot of catching up to do. In the past month or so, there has been a lot going on. My parents, visited for a month, Jillian & I did Bridge Pedal, beach days, Julie and I hiking, and more. I'll start with pictures of the bridge pedal. It's an organized bike ride across the many bridges of Portland. The first one is one Jillian took from her trailer.
