zoo part 1

Today instead of heading to a beach house for the weekend, we realized the weather was going to be better at home this weekend and stayed in town. We surprised Jillian with a trip to the zoo and it ended up being the Best Zoo Day Ever. The animals were full of play and antics. We saw a Polar Bear patiently waiting for a granny smith apple to wash up out of the water and finally saw him dive in and eat it! Then he played for quite a bit. We also saw lazy lions, met some fun people on the train, and watched a monkey shove a huge arm full of hay in his mouth and his buddy slap it out of his mouth and pat all the hay off of him!

Jillian got to spend a hard earned $5 at the zoo store and bought a small, soft wolf she named Tammy. John bought me a little sea otter with a starfish in its hands and is the same soft, small stuffed friend. (we secretly both thought it was cute, so sweet.)

So much fun and everything seemed to gel with the family. We all had a wonderful day and Jillian passed out in the car for about an hour on the way home. I love my crew.

JT3 "Gallery"

The following masterpieces were created by US over the weekend. The one at the bottom was a collaboration by John and Jillian. Lots of nature and creativity, and layers went into this one. The one in the middle is a recycled canvas painted black and a print of a fern leaf painted and pressed down by me. The top is a work in progress. Jillian collected beer bottle caps at our friends rehearsal dinner and we washed them. I filled them with glue and fine gold glitter. We'll see how it finishes up! Its so fun watching Jillian experiment with different art mediums.

H and L wedding 8.21.2010

Hunter and Lisa were married yesterday at Mt. Tabor park. Conditions were perfect.

Jillian, John and I were responsible for getting Oskar Dog down the aisle as ring bearer. He did a wonderful job and Jillian handled him well before the ceremony!

The after party was at The Ace Hotel. I am sure that there were many pics taken of me being the life of the party. At some point, I was dancing around barefoot with many oghers, but I was wearing a mustache! xoxoxoxoxo, LOVE

pre-wedding Congratulations

Last night we went out for Hunter and Lisa's BBQ and rehearsal. For those of you that don't know, we have been asked to escort Oskar dog to the aisle as the ring bearer. He was very patient waiting for his moment and Jillian had much praise for his trial run. We are all very excited to get dressed up tonight! Real pictures to come later!

Family Picnic Photo 2010

For years I have been going to my family picnic. Over the years the pics have varied. In the beginning it was just John, Missy and I. Then it was the 3 of us, and me with a pregnant belly! Finally, the 3 of us with Jillian. We have no picture from last year because we did not attend and frankly, this year felt a little sad without Missy Dog. Our family has changed a lot in the few short years we have been coming, but one thing is for sure... there is a lot of love in these pictures! Here's to another year!

Slip 'n' Slide

Today was our annual family picnic at McIver Park in Clackamas. the weather was very warm so we made a deal with Jillian. We would go to the picnic for a little while and then to Grandmas house so we could all play in the water. We all had so much fun! It was 96 degrees today and the water was fine.

Tonight we had dinner with all the Grands at the fabulous Southern style

Screen Door restaurant. Everyone ate well and dessert was even ordered!

It was nice to have all the family together before Tom and Karen head home.

The other evening we were out to dinner with Grands Texas and Jillian was working on her "I Love You" in sign language... She finally got it!
