Today is for Missy and Jillian...

Today our daughter graduates from Preschool! I am very excited that both grandparents will be in attendance to enjoy this special day. Jillian had me "mermaid" her hair and she is wearing a special Hawaiian dress for the occassion.

Today also marks another milestone. It is the anniversary of Missy Dog's passing. It's truly bittersweet to think she has been out of our daily lives for that long, but never out of our hearts and thoughts.

Today I celebrate my two girls. Both loved, both in my heart.

The plaited hair of a Mermaid Princess.

The other night after a bath, I asked Jillian if she wanted her hair braided and she said she wanted lots! I put 5-6 braids in her hair and when she awoke the next morning, we took them out. She looked like a mermaid princess! She LOVED it. I am so glad she's finally letting me do her hair. It's so much fun!

Triathlon

Accomplished my first (and probably last) triathlon today. I completed the .5 mile swim, 12 mile bike ride, and 3 mile run in just under 1 hour and 42 minutes. I almost thought I would have to give up at the beginning of the swim, but I kept on truckin' after thinking about the humiliation of having to face everyone I knew and not completing it. A special thanks to Julie, Jillian, my parents, and our friends Chris and Owen for coming out to cheer me on.
