A few more pictures of us during the Columbia River Crossing. The stern wheeler is what took us across the river and then they made us walk the plank and swim back.
Jillian got a new back pack monogrammed with her name on it! She has a couple friends that are attending the same school. Our neighbor Scarlett, and Owen, her dear friend since she was 2. There were some tears this morning, but only from the parents. We are so proud of Jillian.
Today was a milestone in our lives. Jillian headed off to Kindergarten this morning. Sugar cat even escorted us. Today, John and I walked Jilly to school and got to see her off in the classroom. When I picked her up in the afternoon she said, "Mama, guess what? BEST. DAY. EVER." She said she met 5 new friends and had fun!
We all made it across the Columbia River today! We all finished within 2 minutes of each other with my time being 28 minutes. On top of that, thanks to you guys, our group of 3 was able to raise $2500 for Colin's Hope in 2 months time! In case you didn't know, Colin's hope is an organization that teaches water safety to kids, parents and water professionals. We also have been able to get a new swimmer to help raise money next year.
Less than 24 hours before the big swim. So far our group of 3 has raised $2300 for Colins Hope. I say "so far" because every time I think we have all we're going to get, someone donates again.
