Meet the family!

One of the long time viewers of this blog happened to live in Southern California. Velma and Aurora are Grandpa Rodriguez's cousins and we got to eat dinner with them Thursday night. We had really tasty Mexican food and it was very nice meeting them both. Jillian even received a few gifts which was very gracious. Hope to see them again at some point as they sometimes come up our way.

Disneyland Day 1

The first time for Jillian and John to ever be at Disneyland! We got to the park early and started off on the Star Tours ride. Based on the star wars movies, it was probably the favorite of everyone. We then went on to Space Mountain and Jillian's first real roller coaster. She had a great time. Unfortunately the other "big" coasters were closed for repairs. We did spend a full day there, with one of the highlights being Splash Mountain and this time Jillian getting soaked. We did get to meet some of the characters and Jillian got her "ears."

California Adventure

For the first day of our trip we went to California Adventure Park, which is right across the way from Disneyland. We got to ride a few rides including Jillian's first medium sized roller coaster. She wanted to ride the big roller coaster, but luckily we didn't as we saw the thing break down and people get stuck on the uphill portion. We also got to see a parade with some of the characters from Disney Pixar movies. The highlight of the day was riding the water ride in which John got soaked.

waaaaahhhhhhhhhh

I miss our KID!

Cleaning and tidying from all the partying we've been doing while she's been getting blonde and tan in Texas.

....uh, nope!

John has been working, I have been fundraising and working, and the cats have been sweet. Not much has been different, except its quiet.

Cannot wait to tackle her at the airport! See you soon Jillian!
