St John's Bridge

One of the iconic landmarks in Portland, Or. It was designed by the same person that did the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. I've been on both and I think our's is better. I took this Saturday between rain storms.

the bridge was designed by Steinmen who was a contemporary of
Joseph Strauss.
Also, Irving Morrow, and Charles Ellis who helped in the designing of the Golden Gate Bridge. Steinmen made the St. Johns was more ornate. Golden gate was made longer.
two guys with a big vision, and a great sense of humor.
