Christmas part 1

Jillian is probably the most tech savvy of all of us in the house now. She got a Leapster 2, a wii, and an ipod shuffle. She loves all of her gifts and we love that she is also into playing somewhat on her own with a few of these items! She also got some beginning reader books and can read 2 so far on her own.

Emotions were high this year as there were some special gifts given and received. I gave John a profile of Missy that was hand cut and he surprised me with the boots I had my eyes on. Jillian picked out a beautiful necklace for me, too. (pic soon) We had a lot of fun with family and friends and are ready to ring in the New Year!

Jillian and I met up with Owen, Chris and Dawn to go check out the chaos that is Zoo lights here in Portland.

Building a Home

From the look of this photo, these two will be married in 5 short years. Owens mom even sent us a 'Thank You' card for some things lately and included in the last one was, "For making our future daughter-in -law!" The gingerbread house was a huge success as well.

More Cookies!

More holiday cookies were made by Jillian and her friend and neighbor Claire today. The girls enjoyed getting messy creating and decorating.

Jillian Rocks!

JIllian got her first Ipod with some of her Christmas money. It's now loaded with her music. She can stop using Mama's now.

Funny Bunnies

Grandma Sue got this AWESOME Bunny hat with attached scar apparatus and paw gloves for Jillian. Last night Owen came over and I got the idea to have all of us pose for a photo. The first picture is classic Jillian and Owen! Enjoy.

Holiday Concert 2010

This was Jillian's last year for her Vermont Hills preschool holiday concert. She was such a little star. (no surprise there) She was in the center, in front, making sure all her friends were on their tape marks on the stage. Hilarious! They sang Jingle Bells, This Land is Your Land, and the Stick Song. They were ALL wonderful and I am so proud to be her mommy. Mao even dressed for the occasion! I LOVE HER.

Fancy Ladies

Holiday Fun

Getting our wonderful tree and a fabulous maple-bacon-pecan bunt cake! Fa la la la la, la la la delicious!

Tree time

Today was a great day to get a tree; no rain. We have found a place that is 2 doors down from Julie's parents and they sell very nice trees for $10. Yes, $10. This years bonus was getting to pet Cinderella the tree sellers dog.

Just girls being girls..

Jillian and I thought we looked pretty darn cute today, so we asked John to take our picture before we left for school/work.

After the bath tonight, I was brushing Jillian's hair. She decided to make it "slick". She was all too happy to pose for the camera.

Picture day is Thursday at her school, she will be wearing a shirt. This ain't Kentucky!

John turns 41 and other Spooky Things!

This year we went to Owen's house to carve pumpkins and celebrate Johns birthday with Halloween cupcakes. We also participated in the Monster March and had a soup and pasta feed at The Browns with some extended family members. Owen went as A-NI-MAL from The Muppets. Jillian was Cinderella.
