My First EVER Brand New CAR!!!!

Meet J-BIRD!!! She was purchased yesterday by John and I at the Beaverton Honda. She is a 2011 Honda Civic. She drives like a dream. Jillian calls her Bluey, she's funny!

HOLY COW!

Just wanted to shout it to the mountains this morning, but it was really early still. Most of the neighborhood was still asleep.

I have cut down on bread and carbs since December and started using an app on my ipod that tracks what you eat and what you do for exercise...

Since the beginning of January to today, I have LOST 12 POUNDS!!!!!

(sorry, I usually don't brag) I am just so proud of myself.

Now to tone it all up to have a super exciting summer in my new skin!

Sugar, awwwwww Purry kitty!

Today was the Jillian and Owen birthday party at the roller skating rink, but I must say the most fun was surprising Jillian with her first kitten afterwards. My friend is living in Utah and rescued and neutered and got shots for this abandoned 10 month old kitten and was looking for a home for her. We got to talking and to my sadness, found out the kitty was in Utah. It just so happened that Jen and her family were flying in on Friday night to stay at her moms' house and look for houses on Saturday. They are moving back to Oregon soon.

We wound up talking and found the timing perfect, so it was arranged to pick up SUGAR after the party. Jillian had no clue. WE told her we were going to see a friend from H.S. We had the kitty stashed upstairs and Jen went to get Jillian's last 'present' from Mommy and Daddy... I think she was in shock. She didn't gasp like I thought she would.

Since bringing Sugar home, she has let her have space to acclimate and Sugar has already taken turns laying on the couch beside Jill and I. She is such a soft, sweet girl.

This is the beginning of a beautiful childhood friendship and we hope Sugar is with us for a long time to come!

JIllian wanted to go to her favorite Sushi restaurant to celebrate her birthday. The owner, John, REALLY spoiled her. He made her a special dish with smoked salmon, crab, rice and cucumber as well as a special desert. Even Mom and Dad got something special on the house.

Calendars
