Zumba Princess

If Julie is the zumba queen, then Jillian is training to be the zumba princess. She went to a kids zumba class and loved it! She had a smile on her face the whole time.

I'm riding a bicycle!

Jillian learned to ride a bicycle on Memorial Day! We are so proud of her. Sunday, I worked with her for about 15 minutes before she got frustrated and decided to call it quits. Monday, we got to the playground and she says, "Dada, I got this." and takes off! I taught her to walk the bike at first and just glide. Then, when she's ready, she lifts her feet to the pedals and starts riding. By the end she was starting with very little glide time.

I can't believe Kindergarten is almost over. What happened to the baby I used to carry in one arm? Sorry the video is sideways. I can never hold the video camera the right way.

Mother's Day!

Mother's day was spent at the beach this year. The weather cooperated although it was a bit windy. John went surfing, Jillian was fashionable as usual and we were able to grill hotdogs at the beach.  Dogs seemed to be the big attraction this year. The dog next to Julie is named Daisy and was a few cars down from us. It didn't stop her from coming to hang out with Julie several times. The other dog in the pictures was actually a small bear... but a friendly bear.

Weekend with Momo

A couple of weeks ago Julie had agreed to take care of a friends dog for a weekend. Meet Momo. He's about 8 years old very well behaved and just an awesome dog. He was deathly scared of our cat and would often walk the other way when confronted by her. We took him out to the country, bought him a big rawhide bone and overall spoiled him. It was very nice to have a dog again... for the weekend.
