Summer break is officially over. Jillian started second grade today. She knew plenty of kids in her new class, unfortunately, she got the strict teacher of second grade. I think the teachers reputation is worse than reality. Jillian just needs to toughen up.

Jillian, when I was in the 6th grade I got a teacher who was supposed to be very tough. As it turned out, I learned a lot in her class and she becamae one of my favorite teachers. You can do it Jillian.

It's Friday and end of the first week of school. You did it, Jillian! And in case you don't believe it, Grandma R and Ouiser are right about those strict/tough teachers. Often times they are the best teachers, and ones that you will remember and be thankful for when you get older and smarter. I had some of those teachers when I was in school, and now I know how much I learned by being in their classes. Hang in there, Beanie!
